Since
its establishment in 1978,
Stewart Marine Design has completed over two hundred new design
projects and over 350 ship modification design projects. These have
ranged from a 5.0m (16') river fishing boat up to a 120m (394') bulk
limestone carrier. Most design work has been for commercial shipping
and luxury pleasure craft. Designs have been in steel, aluminium,
timber, fibre reinforced plastic (FRP), copper-nickel and ferro-cement
to LRS, ABS, GL, DNV, BV, USCG and Australian USL requirements.
